Hoping for an awesome season like last year....enough to enjoy and then a few jars to dry and put up for later/sharing. huntersgirl61noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32979156.post-80992805381848069072014-04-16T08:27:31.170-05:002014-04-16T08:27:31.170-05:004-15-14: So I found a few small grey/yellows in m...4-15-14: So I found a few small grey/yellows in my parents back yard in St. Louis Co. around an old ash. I figured that the Missouri river bottoms up around Jeff/columbia would be further along so I took a day trip yesterday. Things were pretty bleak out there. I managed to find a few small grey/yellows, none much bigger than my thumb and very hard to see. The night before was freezing, and there is no rain in the 10 day forecast, so not sure about how the season will turn up. In fact a few of the small ones I found were already redding on the top... Any words of encouragement, ahistory? And thanks again for posting. Your insights and comments are always helpful and reassuring.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32979156.post-20340138697959931402014-04-13T11:20:26.294-05:002014-04-13T11:20:26.294-05:00Any luck finding any ...Any luck finding any ...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32979156.post-29593255544509918172014-04-11T15:12:29.876-05:002014-04-11T15:12:29.876-05:00Great to see you back and blogging!Great to see you back and blogging!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32979156.post-15116976393979744262014-04-11T11:59:39.287-05:002014-04-11T11:59:39.287-05:00Exciting! I've marked some of my best early producing spots on gps, and hit them all, but nothing.

I suspected that I was a bit early, but just couldn't wait any longer. Seems like we may be a bit behind last year, and it definitely seems dryer then the past several years. I thought those big rains we had like a week and a half ago would really moisten things up, but it just struck me as very dry.

I'll be out all day Saturday - I definitely think we are really close…

Please update as much as you can. I check this site a couple of times a day during the morel season. Love to see how others here in midmo are doing.Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06439447949238376234noreply@blogger.com
