This blog is dedicated to hunting edible wild mushroom in Mid-Missouri. I am by no means an expert, so these ramblings and musings reflect my opinions based on a lot of research and experience. I cannot stress enough, always be certain that you have properly identified any mushroom before eating it. Remember when in doubt throw it out.

2016 off to a good start
Looks like the season is staring out pretty good this year.
We are new to our Franklin county property and although trying several times this spring, we didn't find any. My daughter, who is about 10 miles away, cleaned up! We have a very hilly, stony property with some river bottom. Any suggestions on where to look next year! North facing, south facing, before/after rain?
I have some blue indigo and chentreel mushrooms. Can someone help me identify these for sure? Found yesterday in Willow Springs, Missouri. I'll put pics up if I get a response.

ReplyDeleteI live in FC too and have found about 45 in a place I've never seen them. Try some new territory other than your regular spots
